The development and evaluation of vaccines require sensitive and specific detection and quality control methods. As a new generation of nucleic acid detection technology, digital PCR technology has become a powerful tool in the process of vaccine development and production due to its advantages of high sensitivity, high accuracy, absolute quantification, and good inhibitor tolerance in nucleic acid molecular detection.
On July 28, 2021, CCTV reported the progress of the recombinant COVID-19 vaccine of adenovirus vector for nebulized inhalation developed by the team led by academician Chen Wei of the Institute of Military Medicine, Academy of Military Sciences.
The vaccine can obtain triple protection of mucosal immunity, cellular immunity and humoral immunity by nebulized inhalation only, thus preventing infection and blocking transmission at the location of virus invasion more safely and conveniently, which can protect each other.
The highly sensitive&specific detection and quality control method of the TargetingOne TD-1 Digital PCR Platform is applied in this work.
